I am hoping we can turn it over July 1st, and I can hear the idle of the 236/242 with all those cubes.
My cam is a 245/245, and it idles at 900 with a nice chop. Great sound. You should have no problem with the C6 ZO6's if stock. The problem is these ZO6 guys are moding the hell out of them 500 rwhp. Without tires you and the ZO6 are going to sit there and spin.

What happened, Rick? You get that beast fired up yet?

Smart move getting the engine squared away before messing around with the ZF conversion; that'll save you more than a few hassles .

Wayne. I would love to hear your car. Do u have a video of it at idle? Btw, I was talking to Jim the other day and a new dynojet just opened up in town a few doors down from his car wash. I thought you were looking for a place to get that stroker on the rollers.

I hear what your saying about those LS-7's as they are just nasty when modded, but not many modded one's in my parts. I have a feeling when I get this bitch running, and fully tuned a stock "
LS7 won't pull as strong. I drove a stock 07 not 2 long ago. Don't get me wrong it was fun, but I am expecting more with the 421.

Well I got the fuel issue sorted out I believe. I found some time to mount the MSD coil blaster a few days ago, and I might be getting a custom SS bracket made up from LD85's friend for the MSD. Thought I would shoot a few pics up.

Yes the car is still sitting on the hoist, but it will be started up in good time. As you guys can tell I am in no hurry, but it will see some road before it snows.

I wish. I'm still holding out for a '70 - '73 split bumper Camaro with a 4 speed, big block, 12 bolt combo .

Awesome garage and lift, BTW! Now start cleaning that engine bay!!

Had a little set back. Just some personal stuff, but I am back at it somewhat......

Made a little progress. Had a bracket fabricated for the MSD. It didnt fit perfect, but I'll I had to do has shave a little off the one corner, and bingo!

My plan is 2 get the car started this month as my wife is due in 7 weeks with our second.

Also looks like I found a dynojet.

Cheers!

Lookin' good. Not a fan of Fram oil filters, though. I guess you had no bad experiences with 'em?

I guess I had what you could consider as the absolute worse experience with a Fram filter. After an oil and filter change ZERO OIL PRESSURE!!!

I used the normal procedure I'd used for decades, including filling the new Fram filter with fresh oil. On starting the engine ZERO OIL PRESSURE!

I immediately shut down the engine and double checked my work - no leak or sign of anything being wrong.

Re-fired the engine - ZERO OIL PRESSURE!!

I replaced the Fram filter with the old ACDELCO, the one I had just removed, re-re-fired the engine and pressure returned to normal.

I'll never use a Fram oil filter again!!!

Been using them for 15 years, and no issues. Probably over 200 oil changes on several different vehicles.
