Drivebelt tensioner assembly failure

Maybe someone out there can help us out here. The other day we broke ANOTHER Drivebelt tensioner! it is the second one in about 6 months. Has anyone had similar problems? As far as I can see, it was installed correctly and everything appeared fine, then one morning, SNAP! What would cause this? Any suggestions would be great!

Weird......I was getting ready to order a new tensioner because mine is beat and the spring arm assembly is allowing the pulley to start to drift off the belt. Here is what I was going to go back with once they have more in stock:http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette?frame=3.6106

I guess we will pull it off and take a good look at it. I will get back later and relay what we find, thanks!

Using the above post with a picture of the tensioner, what exactly broke?
