EGR Valve...
Can you do without the egr valve on an 85 without it throwin a code? Also what is the little wire that is attatched to the egr valve? The wire bung broke while i was workin on a project and if i can do without the egr valve im just going to remove it. Thanks ahead of time!

really?? We can just take it off? I have an E86, and I want the EGR off just to get it out of the way, its a PITA trying to do anything on the pass. side of the engine. To the OP, I think the wire is the EGR sensor that runs to the ECM.

. i fabbed up a block off plate and removed all the egr system with no issues.
i also got rid of the AIR system and the A/C
all with no codes
it does make a whole lot more room to work under the hood
