Default Fuel Pressure Update

After talking to Jon Banner from F.I.C. again as I could not get my pressure upto the 43 psi, I checked the pump and it was putting out 70 psi. He said it had to be in the regulator, even though it was new from NAPA and oem replacement. I bought a Aeromotive #13106 for the LT1. It bolts right in and the cover fits on ok to as well as looking nice. A very well built unit. After checking for leaks I started the engine and it came right upto 44psi on my gauge. I backed it down to 43, but now I am wondering if the setting they had it for may have been correct and maybe my gauge is just off a pound. Running my first tank of fuel through now to check mileage. It appears on the computer to have improved. Not sure what things can be done to tweak it to get a little better mileage yet but will talk to Jon about that and also any suggestions anyone may have. I woulsd like to enter the fuel economy run at the Eureka Springs Corvette Show 1 October. My best I had earlier was 33.36 mpg over 78 miles to and from work. '93 LT1 Six Speed Coupe.

If I remember right, GM had something on fuel presure a while back about turning it down to 39.5 psi on the LT1.I can't remember what it was exactly supose to do but it can 't hurt to try.
