I am still figuring out the Forum system, so forgive me with the last post. I was trying to put a poll in but while I was previewing it, I ended up posting without it.
Anyway, my question is about Thompson AstroTops in Florence AL. and their roof product for our C4's. Searches reveal folks either are fine with them or hate them with a passion. I am more interested in the fiberglass roof as an acrylic one.
I also have a Forum member that has one in great shape for $325 w/o headliner but is unsure of fitment on my '85. The advantage of Thompson is I can drive the Vette up there on a nice day and check fitment on site (and give them the core) but the best I could do with the member's is take my top down and compare.
I am headed to North FL next week and the seller is in South FL but I wont trust not getting rained on during the summer in FL. Ya know "If ya dont like the weather in FL, wait a minute" kinda deal. I lived there 25 years so I know with certainty I will run into rain somewhere, lol.
Anyway, I figured out the poll so let me hear what you think. Thanks!

What year is the other roof from? There is a difference in the front brackets in the early C4's as compared to the later C4's. All that is required is to change-out the front brackets...course you have to get them from somewhere; either used or new.
I have only read that non-one likes the Astro Tops. Best to go with Melrose roof panels. Not cheap by any means, but seem to be the best quality. Only read how Astro Tops come apart rather quickly.
