Question for people that have a GM,CC,or LPE cam lying around?
I am trying to identify this cam, can anyone tell me if these serial/part numbers are close to anything on a cam that might be lying around your garage?
It is out of my '86. It is a roller cam and I was told that it is a Ligenfelter. It has no markings on the sprocket side face, but has these on the opposite end. 33097R and 586 WB83.
Any help here is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff
Re: Question for people that have a GM,CC,or LPE cam lying around? (MrJay)
Jeff,
I looked thru all the cam catalogs I had around(CC, Crane, Cam Dynamics, Isky, Crower, Engle,...., etc.) nothing matched or even came close. I think since this was an older rebuild it may be something like a Wolverine or one of those companies no longer in business. Why did you want to know? I assume for the resell, good luck,
Dave :yesnod:

Thanks alot guys. This might be one of those things that never gets resolved. It was installed by a reputable Corvette shop nearby, I'm surprised it doesn't seem to be a Ligenfelter cam, because that is what they told me it was going to be I'm going to call them again, but last time I did they said they didn't have anything written down on the build sheet as to what kind it was. It definately doesn't have the lift of my ZZX cam but it does have a much nicer finish. Oh well, thanks again for trying.

No luck yet, just trying to find out if any of the numbers are close to anything any one has on a camshaft right now. I wouldn't be surprised if this is some screwy retrofit GM cam or some weird unheard of company. Scorp, you just tend to be the first to reply when anyone has a serial/part number question. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I don't really want to call every cam manufacturer out there, but like I said this may be a lost cause.
Thanks
Jeff
