I recently posted about changing the stereo in my '90. Looks like it took a crap so I'm going with a new unit. Someone said there was an archived post about trouble codes when you change out the head unit. I have not been able to find the post. Anyone know where it is? Thanks. :chevy
Most people get SYS after changing out there factory radio to a aftermarket radio......the reason is that a resistor need to be in place with the dimming circuit of the radio......i am pretty sure u can get more info on this subject in the "Audio/Electronics" Section.
Sorry but that's not correct. If you have the automatic temp. control, you will get the sys. when you pull the factory radio and add an aftermarket system. There is the need to put the resistor inline.

Gee, kind of strange, mine didn't need the resistor.
