Default 91 rag top

Anyone out there with a 1991 vert? My top is very nice, but it is the original. The back window is not in good shape. Has anyone tried to replace only the window? Can you do it in glass? I have heard that the 1993 had glass, but the top won't fit on a 1991.

There are kits on the market to convert your window to glass, most of the vette cataloge dealers will have them. You will even be able to have a rear window defroster.
If you back plastic windo is not torn/ripped there are also kits on the market that might clean it some. One of the big deals with the plastic window is to NEVER clean it with any dry towel/rag, you must always use lots of water and when you fold it down place a nice big soft towel over it that will prevent it from rubbing. We have a 87'vert and still have the original window and looks GREAT it just takes some care.

Good luck WRO87

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR IDEAS. THEY MAKE SENSE TO ME. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A PRODUCT TO HELP MAKE THE BACK WINDOW CLEAR . IF YOU COME ACROSS ONE PLEASE PASS IT ON TO ME

Meguiars has a plastic cleaner and polish called PlastX that I use on my vert rear window, also works great on the plastic lenses. Also, the plastic headlight lenses on my chevy truck were really dull, I used Mothers mag & aluminum polish to cleal them up followed by the plastx. 100% improvement.
