Default Edelbrock Top End Kit

I was searching Summit Racing seeing what they had for the LT1 and i came across this

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-2019/?image=large

I wanted to see what you guys though. 406hp Isnt bad at all and its a complete package that you know will work. I know 2800 is a little bit on the expensive side but for what you get i think its not bad.

So what do you all think?

I have nothing against Edelbrock, and have their heads on a two of my vehicles, but as you stated the price seems a little high...
I bet the heads are better than stock LT4 ones though!

If they are it isnt bu much....Dont count on the same #s that Edelbrock advertises. I think you can make better power with a different head and less (than their age old) cam;port your stock intake and save big.

Bet with the right parts you could make closer to 400 at the tires instead of 400 at the crank.

What would be different heads, cam, and other parts? How much porting of the stock intake is needed?
