thanks
where u get them from? I was told they are good
SafeRacer.com/Ecklers . I use gforce 5 point harness with harness bar which came from Ecklers manufactured by **** Marine. Harness bar does seem to tighten up the chassis.
I use a Simpson 5 point harness with a sternum strap and a camlock and am very happy with the setup. The sternum strap keeps the straps from sliding off the shoulders. At what speed do the warp fastners kick in.
Belts are to each his own. Everyone has their favorite.
I personally have always used RJS belts.... my preference came from my father. I remember my he started using RJS after talking with them at the old Circle Track "Daytona Trade Show" in about 1981 or 82. I was just a kid tagging along with dad and I remember they gave me a hat, posters and stuff. Every year at Daytona and the later the PRI trade shows we always stop in their booth and say hi or thank them.
They are a fairly small company and take pride in what they build. My dad had some pretty bad crashes with their stuff when he still drove and it always held up.
Other companies make good stuff as well. CROW Enterprizes, Simpson, and Stroud are all companies that I would recommend (in that order) without reservation. I've seen very bad crashes and their stuff did their job.
I got my harness bar from Gary at Hardbar. Then I got his extensions because I couldn't get the seat all the way back. I happy with the set up now. I think the car feels stiffer. I have a G-force 5 point. It definitely holds me in the seat much better than the factory belts during trackdays.
I've got a set of "Simpsons" that came with a harness bar I purchased several years ago. The harness bar had an unintended consequence.
When installed, it stopped completely, the body flex/bump steer we get sometimes when the top is off.
That's an 4x4 style off road harness, low speed stuff. It will keep you strapped in if your Jeep rolls over, but it will do very little if you're 'vette hits a wall at high speed.

Don't skimp on safety gear, this ain't no joke.
I dont speed but love corners
this is my autox car so speeds wont get over 70 and no walls at an airport strip
