1986 Corvette Running Rough at Idle
I have an 86 corvette that runs very rough at ilde. When started, it sputters to the point that it stalls. I changed the O2 sensor with no luck. There are no codes. At higher rpms it seems to run fine. Any ideas as to where I should start looking?

After checking the distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires for any problems, try checking the resistance in your injectors.

my 86 also has that rough idle.

Take the vacuum line off the FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator).
Turn on the ignition but do not start the engine.
Check for fuel coming out of the FPR.
If the FPR diaphragm is ruptured fuel will get sucked into the plenum through the vacuum line and make your car run super rich.
A rough idle can be caused by a vacuum leak or an EGR valve that is stuck open.

i'd be checking my IAC too....
