blown water hose

blown water hose

so i blew a waterhose today and coolant is everywhere! can i hose down the engine or how do i clean this mess up?

You have a LT1 don't spray water anywhere near the Opti & the front of the motor. Which hose blew I hope it was not on the water pump, Opti's and water don't mix.

Do you have an original Opti ? I myself have had opti problems and when the OEM went bad I bought another and it was bad right out of the box so I decided on the MSD and 20,000 Miles later still no problems and its vented, but to answer your question now I would start the air compressor and hook up the air nozzle and blow the front of the motor off including the Opti do this until its all dry and start the car and see what happens, if you need to replace the Opti make sure you go with the vented unit and replace the waterpump.
