I have muffler eliminators on my LT4.
Not the kind you listed though, as mine still have the center resonator in place.
Mine just eliminated the actual rear mufflers.
As others have said, they can get a little loud on the inside (depending on rpm level).
But to me, they are just fine but wife thinks they are loud. On the outside they sound perfect.
C4's are known for a lot of resonance inside at times. But what might be annoying to one person, someone else might not think it's bad at all.

I ran the eliminators with the stock cat and car was suitably loud especialy on the outside; need to be friends with the neighbours.
When I put the test pipe in place of the cat ; I had to install open free flow mufflers because it was race car loud and I like LOUD

Rodj, Did you have the 2 precats on with the eliminaters or just the single cat only??...WW
If you have the eliminators by themselves its not that loud. That's what I started with. I had a muffler shop cut the mufflers and add pipes a few years back. If you start to do other modifications like remove the cats, add headers, add cam. etc.. Then it can get very very loud. I wonder if those with eliminators have the other mods or just sensitive ears.?
I had them on my '94 convertible with the stock pre-cats/cats. I thought the car sounded good and was not troubled by resonance, although I've heard a lot of people with coupes and similar setups complain about resonance.
Rather than buying the pre-made muffler eliminators, I got a friend to cut off my mufflers, weld the tips on a straight pipe and then put that in place of the mufflers.
That was 10 years ago, but I think he charged me $50.
I didn't put on an x-pipe, so there was some popping with deceleration from higher rpms, but I liked the sound.
They are a little loud, but depending on how much thottle, you can make them pretty quiet or very loud. I do a lot of highway driving and the sound is not objectionable. To me it just sounds like a good muscle car should.
My friend had them on a 96 LT4 and I was hooked. When I got my 94 I put them on.
I installed the muffler eliminators years ago, and it sounded OK for about a year but, I soon found the interior Resonance annoying especially if I had a passenger.
I've also been looking at the Magnaflow cat back exhaust system. How do these sound? Right now my '95 has the stock exhaust and it is just way too quiet.
There are also these I found. They don't have conventional muffles but are chambered.
I have no cats no resonator and no mufflers. Sometimes if you want to have a conversation and your accelerating it can be too loud but its not un bearable. If your off the throttle its just as quite as anything else. Alot of the times i turn the radio off and just enjoy listening to the engine. It sounds like it should.
I agree with Farkas...mine car is loud but I have no cats, no mufflers, long tubes etc...1st time I recorded the car with my new digi camera I blew the mic - go to youtube and search my name
This is the old motor. Stock heads/cam. Stock manifolds, no cats, and home made elim's. Couldnt keep the setup with the new motor, way too loud. Cool on a near stock car though.
