Default info on headers......

I previously posted requesting input on what type of exhaust system would be best to wake up my 1990 C4. After processing everyones fantastic info and suggestions, I think I'm going to go with the Magnaflow cat back system.

Now my question is does anyone feel that I'm better off with any specific type of set of headers over another?

Thanks
Jeffrey

So long as they're long-tube, you can't really go wrong. Any of them will be a dramatic improvement over stock. Hedman has very cheap ones, but I've heard that their longevity is lacking (rusting through in a few years). Melrose, TPIS and Exotic Muscle all make nice headers. Stainless Works is the only one (IIRC) that makes headers out of stainless steel, which is nice from a longevity perspective, but they cost something like $1200, so you be the judge.

Hedman Elite thermal coated headers get good reviews Summit usually has them. You can get them with or without EGR set up.

Why not go to true dual exhaust? You can have them made by a muffler shop, or just buy them from Corvette Central/MAM. You would only need a set of mufflers, and they will work better then just adding a cat back.

Except I would also get a X pipe or if you don't like a lot of resonance, then a resonator.

I have Hedman's for over 2 years now, but I coated mine w/ceramic paint before I installed them.
