I am trying to find the price of a D36-D44HD with 3.54 gears but it isnt listed. I called and your sales department can not find it either. It is listed in Vette magazine that you have the D36-D44 and you stated on a thread that you also had the D44HD. If you could share this information with me as well as everyone else it would get yourself at least one purchase from me.

Thank you. Travis

PS I already PMed you but had no response and calling seems to have been a mistake as your sales department had no idea what I was talking about.

Default Here Are The Links To The 3.54 Rearends

Here's the link to their Dana 44 w/3.54 gears.

Here's the link to their Dana 36 w/3.54 gears.

I didn't read the article, but are you sure Zip offered a HD Dana differential? This is more of a hard core racing item with a modified rearend housing to accept an oil cooler and pump assembly connections to keep the lubricant's temperature down during race conditions. Most racers I know fabricate their own. Very curious though.

Default Good Article!

Thanks for the links to the article about their rearend rebuild efforts.

I did find a link to their HD Dana 36 in their on-line catalog.

Did see anything that looked like the Dana 44 swap kit mentioned in the article, although none of those parts mentioned would be new. They would all be salvage.

I'd call Zip Products on Monday, and ask to speak to one of their technicians like Justin about the swap kit. I don't think that it's something that they keep on the shelf. More like special order.

Good luck!

I did call and asked how much their Dana 36 to Dana 44 swap kit was (like mentioned in the article) and was told it doesnt exist. I told him it was stated in Vette Magazine and he still said it wasnt available so I gave up.
It may not be on the public online database but the actual stores computers usually have more options which was my hope. Does not matter however. I found the kit from another company that I will go with. Zipps lose my gain.
Maybe this other company will have better customer service

Sorry I just saw this thread.
Who did you PM, I do not have any PM's from you or any messages about diffs. My salesman know to forward any diff questions to me, so if you know who you talked to I would apprieciate if you could pm there name.

Ok about the diffs. I did not write the article for Vette, we do sell a HD D44 for $2795, there is no core charge and it is all brand new. The rear cover and C-beam is still available new but the drive shaft has gone discontinued so you will have to have your stock one shortened by a 1/4". If you would like to talk about this you can call me tomorrow.
Thanks

I guess my pm never went through which is ok. I do not remember the name of the tech who answered and would not want to trash him name incase he was new or not well trained so it is ok.

Can I buy an aftermarket drive shaft (aluminum) that is the right length to use with the D44?
I hope to purchase this this winter to make my drivetrain more bulletproof.

Thank you for the response.
