Today I tried locking my door, but it didn't lock. I tried again it again but didn't work. On the thrid try the alarm when off. I didn't know the car had an alarm. 85 vette. How do you shut it down? I notice that when the doors are open the security light come on. How do I prevent this in the future? I had to disconect the battery to make it stop.

Unlock door with key or turn ignition to "run".

Don't worry about the VATS section, yours doesn't have it.
