Ok, so I did the rr/spring install a couple of weeks ago and picked up 16 rwhp and 10 hp in torque on a dyno. I go to the track tonight and I run four times. All the times were worse than before I did the RR install. One of the times was as good as I used to do. My best R/T was .128 my worse was .436 and that was my fastest time and speed. 60 ft times were all dead on 1.8 which is where they have always been. How come no gain at all?
had to be something else changed. hook up? temp?
I am sure you will do better next time, unless you had a tune, and it runs out differently now until later.

Seems like track times are about the worst way to measure upgrades. So many factors affect ET, it's hard to get an "apples to apples" comparison. Altitude, humidity, temperature, windspeed and direction, track prep...
compare mph data between runs/trips to see real gains. thats the true way to measure power increases. even if your launch was different between runs, your mph will stay roughly the same
E/T is dependant on traction... a little off here and your time will suffer
reaction time has NOTHING to do with your E/T or mph numbers. you could sit at the starting line for ten minutes and still run the same as if you cut a perfect light

Thanks Tpi, the car seems to hooking very well. I'm not feeling any spin anyway. All my 60' times have been 1.8. Just can't get anything after the 1/8. I will though.....soon.
I put this together of all of my times for this summer. I added SW LT's and CC RR's, LT4 springs. All that added up to around a 34 hp increase over the summer. My times haven't improved so I can only assume the tune must need to be adjusted to compensate for the impovements. I'll have it redone after my heads and cam go in.
