Oil Filter Torque?

Oil Filter Torque?
Putting an K&N Oil filter on my '93 LT-1.
So what torque setting am I supposed to use?

make gasket contact and turn another half or so turn, check for leaks, never torque.

Don't forget to wipe a thin film of oil on the gasket before installing. You can also pre-fill the filter before installing.

You must have strong hands. 1/2 to 3/4 turn after gaskets contacts.

I prefer a good 3/4 turn after contact or until nice and snug (hand tight)...then back it off about an eighth of an inch to allow the gasket to seat without stretching. This has always been my practice and never had a leak or gasket problem - probably not necessary but that's my preference.
