On my 1996 LT4 the pipe/hose that goes from the power steering reservoir to the pump, split at the hose between the pipe and the pump. I found out that GM dose not make this part anymore. I removed the part of the hose that was pressured fitted to the pipe and installed a 6" heater hose in it's place. I used new hose clamps to hold the hose in place. This worked for about 30 days. Now it's leaking out from the hose end that is over the pipe going to the reservoir ( yes the clamp is tight ). The pipe coming off of the pump has a larger flared end on it, for a tighter fit in the hose. My next step is to try and reroute a new hose from the reservoir to the pump. Dose anyone know where I can get the oem part that came with the car. Has this happened to anyone else, and what did you do to fix the problem.
I've got this companyhttp://www.amazonhose.com/ in my area....they can professionally make or repair anything "hose" related....maybe you've got a shop like this in your neck of the woods.
Shops that work on hydraulic equipment can likely fabricate a new one for you. Personally don't know of any, haven't had the need to make power steering hoses-yet.
