Default lazy passenger headlight

I have a 89 Convertible that has 13k miles on it and hardly ever driven after dark. Recently, I was cleaning the car and turned the headlights on to clean them and I found a problem. The Driver side opened and closed perfectly while the passenger side seemed to want to open, but would either partially open or fully open and then would not lock in place and droop. Does anyone have any idea where to start? My car is all original and perfectly maintained. Thank You

The droopy headlight is probably a simple fix. When GM put the system together, they used these plastic bushings to support the light when in operation. They didn't count on the plastic degrading over time. When I took mine apart it was pretty much dust.

If you have the FSM, it will help with the headlamp removal and you can get the eckler's delrin bushings (3 bushings per light) to replace the dust that you clean out.

There's a tech tip on it here

thank you...I just thought since the headlights were barely used that the bushings wearing out would be kind of strange.
