1992 ECM Question
My car appears to not have a original ECM unit. I have a AC Delco replacement.
Can these units be modified / programmed / tuned like the original equipment or do I need to find a original 92 units off of fleabay ?
Reason I ask is my car will be going to the tuner with the next 3 or so weeks. H/C/I/TB/Injector swap is going to happen within the week.

Is exactly the same as the original unit. Has a chip (memcal ) inside that can be reprogrammed or more commonly replaced with a chip holding your new tune.

Its actually going to TPIS in Tempe (The entire car). They are local for me.
I would do the PCM for less however I do not have flow numbers for the heads and in order to get a good tune they would need to know how much they actually flow.
TPIS being local (with a dyno) I can get all the mods done , flatbed the car to their shop and drop it off.
