I agree on the APR call. You could call Rick at Ciro Design: 949-453-8292. He's one of their distributors and he can arrange for custom endplates and uprights if you'd like.

I put some "Gurney flaps" on the leading edge of my front wheelwells to help create a lower pressure zone outside the wheels to help pull the air out of the wheels/discs/caliper area.
Maybe he leaves the hood open just a bit for heat extraction?
mmm… I doubt it was intentionally left open. I would image keeping the hood closed shut would help keep stiffen the chassis. If I had a choice, I’d rather keep the heat and have a stiffer chassis than a loose chassis with a cooler engine bay.

I don't have any pictures handy, but they're essentially a length of one inch "tall/outward" firm plastic (the same firm plastic that is used on the front airdam) attached to the leading edge of the wheelwell. Due to the slightly outward/round shape of the bodywork from the parking lights to the wheelwell, the air is moving slightly outward in addition to backward. I'm just trying to kick it (the air) out a touch more to get some additional low pressure in the wheelwells.
