any sugg.s need help
still same code(36) she's a 1993 six speed .it's strange,she starts fine runs up to temp. then dies.no stumble till warm then thetach jumps all around and she just quites,will only start again after about half hour then runs for a shorter time because closer to opperating temp hits that then dies???help!!!

The opti supplies two timing inputs to the PCM. A high & a low. The PCM compares the two & can determine if one is not being received. Seems like your opti is
failing or perhaps a bad connector?
Code 36 relates to the high resolution signal.
Code 16 would relate to the low " ".

That sounds like it is probably ti....(sad)it would explain the tach jumping around and the failure after warm up thank you for the info lou.....guess i'll try and get ahold of the gentleman named jeff everyone is calling for parts and see what kinda deal i can get.Saw another thread concerning optic alturnatives and he stated a deal($)that was smokin wish me luck and again thanx for the help.
