Found a nail in my real EMT tire, in about an hour tire went completly flat, the rim was almost touching the pavement..
I thought EMTs will never go to that point like regular tires do?
The 3" nail was in a sidewall of the rear right tire, inner wall
1996 Original? Very strange.. It says EMT right on the tire..
I would replace 13 year old tires. The rubber in the tire starts to break down and dry out. I've heard average life of a tire keeping good performance ranges from 6 to 10 years. Some really old tires just give up and blow out.
I bought mine with a set of old tires, not sure how old, but they were not the factory original, and they were showing signs of age, and their performance had definitely degraded.
The EMT tires rely on a good stiff sidewall, which I could see not holding form if it's that old.
