My carb swap is coming along,Question what TV cable are you using, also what brackets?I'm using holley 20-121 geometry corrector bracket, and 20-95 TV Throttle bracket, problem is now the TV cable does not click out when adjusting,I do know the correct way to adjust the tv and the throttle is opening all the way, so that is not the problem,I did a search at ThirdGen came up with use a tv cable for a carbed 86 Camaro, checked with the dealer the 86 Camaro and 85 vette are the same? Was the dealer wrong?is there a difference in the TV cables?
there is two different cables for a camaro... one for a carbed car and one for a tpi. the tpi one is like a foot longer.. other than that it is the same.
I found the TV cable had to be mounted back from the throttle cable; not inline as your Holley bracket does
I am not real happy with the construction of the bracket so I am going to custom fab a replacement but it worked as a get you going option.

So it would make no difference on the cable adjustment, just a different length?
I can't remember the brand of the throttle/tv cable I used (it's been years) but I made a spacer between the tv cable and bracket (about 3/16") This would allow the tv cable to adjust out further. Maybe this will help your situation.
Need to edit my post from above. I used a replacement bracket, not cable. The cable was stock. The bracket I used actually had room for 3 cables, the throttle, tv cable and cruise control. Again, I don't know if it was a GM piece or Holley or...

Just looked at my 92 Chevy truck ,if I can't make the Holley bracket work,I will try to fab a gm bracket,I'm open to suggestions don't want to fry a new tranny.

The way I see it.
The correcter bracket gives the right travel; all you have to do is mount the cable end so it is the same distance from the pivot point as it was on the TB.
Just did a rough check on mine and I have 123mm (5 3/16th ) from front face of TV bracket to centerline of attachment on both setups
