Default lacs performance

I have an 88 automatic convertible with 58k on it.I have put a 3.73 gear, K&N air filter and cat back exhaust. I have put new cap and rotter, plugs, wires, and fuel filter but it just seems soft for me. From a dead stop I floor it and not even a tire screech, once it starts movin i feels pretty good but I was expecting more. I tried moving the timing counter clock wires 2-3 deg. helped a little but not what I'm looking for. Is there anything else I can try?

You should be able to smoke the tires especially with 3.73's.

My tired 85 can still screech them from a standing stop. I even got a chirp on the 1-2 shift.

Did you set the timing using a timing light?

I bet you still have the original injectors. My 88 stock L98 Auto w/3.07 will smoke the tires with just a little toe pressure on the brakes. Letting go the 1-2 shift can be squirrelly if you don't expect it. Read the sticky above and contact Jon. (FICInjectors)
