Question regarding the spare tire delete
I saw a post the other day that talked about a "T" shaped bracket that was in place of the spare tire on cars with the spare tire delete option. The post went on to say that this bracket was to add some protection for the fuel tank. I've removed my spare to lose a few more pounds from the car (it's a '96 if that matters) and want to put the bracket in but cant find a part# or any reference of it at the dealership. Anyone out there know what this thing is called or a part# for it?

The shop manual (page 10-8 18) refers to it as "Extension, Rear Inpact Bar - Spare Tire Delete". No part number. Maybe they can look it up with that info.
