Clunking noise when engine is shut off

I get a intermittent clunking or banging noise after I turn the key off. The noise sounds like it is coming from under the hood. It will make noise for approximately 5 seconds. I tried opening the hood before I turned the key off but I haven't had any luck yet.
No maintenance has been performed lately. All gauges normal and car runs fine.

The engine runs normal and isn't dieselling, The clunking sound I believe is under the hood, but not in the engine.

Does it make the noise when you close the headlights?

I believe I found where the noise is coming from. I was cleaning the battery terminals and when I hooked up the negitive terminal the RH headlight motor started running. The light wasn't moving. I turned the headlights on and it opened normal except the motor ran about 5-10 seconds after the light fully opened and the same when the headlights were turned off. I'm guessing there must be some limit switches not working correctly or a sticky relay maybe.
