Anybody ever try these BOSCH Platinum IR Fusion plugs???
I know these take away from my money, but after 15,000 miles on a set of stock plugs, one cylinder has an intermittent misfire.
Thinking the plug may be fouling or maybe not gapped right at the half-*** dealership the PO used.
If I'm in there, they're all getting replaced.
Those extra straps on the plugs are bull****. And besides, you can't even gap them. I'd stick with regular copper plugs on the cars that came with them. Though, on my 89, I put in AC Delco. The base of the plugs rusted for some reason. Probably made by Autolite. So, I put the basic copper NGK plugs in.
My 85 calls for R43CTS. Those will foul out in 1 week. I've used R45TS for years. Seems fine. I recently got Denso 5330 Iridium plugs. Haven't installed yet. Note: I've heard platinum plugs get an electrical resistanant coating on them after burning any gasoline with alcohol in it. Maybe that's why todays coils are so high power.
