Default Autocross Numbers

Team, any recommendations for static cling numbers. I plan to go autocrossing Cal Club SCCA. I am looking for someone who provides numbers that will stay on at speed but are removable for street. Any suggestions / experience?

Thanks

I'll have to look to be 100% sure, I have vinyl numbers that stick on and are reuseable.
IIRC I got them from solotime
Work real well - at least up to 125 (back straight VIR)

+1 one Solotime.com

...and also their "reusable vinyl" material. Definitely stays on, and if you take care of them they'll last thru a number of applications -- I've gotten a couple of seasons out of them before they get too dirty. If you're religious about keeping them clean, they'll last longer.

Haven't tried static cling yet. Seems to work for others, though I have seen them fall off at times. Gotta keep the spray bottle and squeegee handy.

I've also made my own out of medium-stick shelf paper. Make stencils using your printer and/or copier, laminated with clear packing tape. Use them to cut out one-time use sets when you need them.

A "panel" of numbers seems to stick better than smaller pieces. Keep your class letters together if you can. If you have a "permanent" numbers, try to keep it in one piece if possible.

Is there a local sign or graphics shop in town? I had a local shop make a pair of black static cling numbers and class letters for my 87 that were 8" high numbers and 5" high letters.

The came on a wide backer sheet that was plastic coated and can be rolled up for storage with the numbers on the sheet. I paid $40 for a set. The shop said I could have any solid color, any Windows Tru-type font, and the static cling material was clear so only the number showed.

I have use my numbers for track days but you do have to be careful to make sure the material is applied properly with no loose edges. Only hit 128-130 but they stayed in place.

When you say stick on? How do they stick on? if they use adhesive, is it possible to damage the paint taking them off? Do you leave them on all season or remove them between events?

Kubs do you take your numbers off between events? If so has there been any damage to your paint? They go on with water? Adhesive? What makes them stick and how hard are they to get off?

Thanks

They have an adhesive backing, stronger than blue painters tape.
No damage to the paint when I take them off.
Right now they are off the car, At the end of October I'll put them back on and run with them till early December. I have 4 events to go to, then I'll take them off until early March.

I've been using the SoloTime Vinyl Stick-ons for years. They last at least two seasons. They would last longer if I remembered to wash the car before race day.

They don't damage the paint at all, and they have never fallen off.

They are like a big sticker. They come on a piece of shiny paper so you take them off and put them on like a sticker. When the event is over I use a razor blade to peel a corner up and put the sticky side back on the shiny side of the paper. No paint damage and its real easy to take on and off. Hold up at 100+ MPH even in the rain. Its the removable vinyl at solotime.

The ones on the door are 8" and the ones on the bumper are 4". I had them for SCCA and NCCC autocross but I need 10" or bigger for NASA.
