Heater Core Restrictor with EWP??

Heater Core Restrictor with EWP??
The coolant hose going to the heater core has a restrictor inline. I had to replace this a while back with an after market restrictor since mine broke. These are made from cheap plastic. The new one has now started to leak coolant again.
I read that the function of the restrictor is to prevent stressing the heater core at high rpm's. Since I have an electric water pump installed I was wondering if I can eleminate this restrictor by installing a one piece solid hose. The Mezierre HD Pump I have should not reach the rpm's that the stock mechanical pump would. Thoughts??
I posted about this a while back when the stock restrictor broke but I cant seem to find that thread. Has anyone eliminated the restrictor? The heater core is the original. If the restrictor function has more to do with the heater functioning in the winter I'm not too concerned about that here in New Orleans.
