1994 noise from engine
Im hearing a noise from the front of my engine
the car has about 170k I hear a tapping noise sounds like light metal taps coming from drivers side toward the last 2 spark plugs all plugs gapped and replaced plugs as well.
The car also doest seem to have its full power?
I put my hand in front of the exhaust tips the driver's side seems to puff more then the passenger side
what do you think the fix is

You could also have some lifters collapsing. The tapping noise could be coming from the rocker arms having to much clearance between them and the valve stem. This is caused by the lifter being worn and not holding oil pressure anymore. The loss of power comes from the valves not opening far enough to let the fuel air mixture in or out.

Thanks if you have the time could you walk me though this my if seems everything I touch on this car turns out to be a major project. I learned to learn everything about a task before I go and touch so any thing I need to watch out for please let me know.
