This will probably be the last "cheap" addition I will be able to do. Have added a HyperTech chip, Air foil, K&N filter with open air box, and done away with the cats and running true duals all the way to the stock mufflers in the back. (Tried FloMasters but it was a little too much rumble ). Everything else is stock. Need to know the correct fuel pressure setting. Also are there any more low budget improvements I can make before stepping up to the next $$$ level. I had thought about the TPS Throttle Performance switch. Has anyone tried it?
The fuel pressure for an LT-1 is about 40 -41 psi. There really isnt much improvement with higher fuel pressure as you would find with the older L-98's. You can try bumping the pressure up a few pounds at a time to see if it helps your performance. However if you go too high it will casue your idle to roughen up.
As far asthe TPS performance switch... I'd save your money...
The book says anywhere from 41- 46 . My 89 I was running up to 50 and it seemed to wake the car up. However , everyones car is different. You may want to start with your baseline and bumpit aup incrementaly a few pounds at a time..

Re: Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (Mo_Bandy)
I bumped the pressure up a little on my car when I installed my AFPR. I didn't do any diacom readings or dynos runs to finetune things but I can say this, my mileage improved. The AFPR was the only mod I did at the time.
>about the TPS Throttle Performance switch. Has anyone tried it?
Yes, got it free from a friend who tried it and saw no difference in performance. I also tried it and noticed that my fuel consumption went worse. Took it off and everything returned to normal. Tried it again (drove a week with it) with same result - took it off for good. I noticed no change in performance one way or another.
You could remove the "frisbee" from your engine. This mod costs nothing and surely helps more than the TPS.
