What's causing this stain?
Every time I clean the car, I need to clean off this stain under the hood. It looks like something's being thrown off the serpentine belt. The car never gets driven in the rain, so the liquid must be coming from somewhere in the engine compartment.
Actually, it looks like a steam pressure spray. Check the hoses going into the throttle body and intake. It looks like a pin hole spray under high pressure. I don't think it's the belt because it would have an arc pattern.
It looks like uhh.... nevermind, can't say it. That would be immature  :D
I got mine w/ 8k miles, and checked underneath. I gaurantee you this previous owner never cleaned the engine once. I had that on mine, but it wasnt NEAR as bad. It was extremely light and very small. Maybe 1/10-20th less.
It could be coming from the air bleeds that are under the throttle body. There are two of them that you open when you fill the cooling system. They would act like a pin hole under high pressure if they are not tightened up. This would be better than the water pump to fix. Just a thought.
