Holy!!!Leaking coolant, Batman! Need Help!

Yesterday while way out in the country, with the top down, I began to get a whiff of coolant...said AW SH*^, smell is inside car, guess heater core.
Engine temps and oil temps remained cool, so I decided for drive home, 50 miles or so. Low coolant light came on but water temps never got over 180 and oil stayed unusually low at less than 180.
Once home, engine did not smell or feel hot, but I could see coolant pooled behind thermo housing and up and down driver's side of intake manifold.
Tonight I added coolant, almost a gallon and started it. Car is on an incline in garage.
Found steady dripping from back of engine onto cat. Still signs of coolant all along driver's side intake manifold. Car is on a 10 degree incline, so water leaking from up front will run to the back.
Didn't see any fluid accumulating around Thermo housing.
Any ideas?
  :cry :(
Thanks

No, none on the belts or around the water pump. Yesterday afternoon, when I opened the hood, I forgot to mention, steam came out of the air cleaner, not much, but some and there was a line of coolant on the underside of the hood in the area of the thermo housing and some on the rear upper control arm knuckle.
I havent checked for water in the oil yet. The shot of steam from the air cleaner really took me aback. It appears, from some discoloration under the hood over the top of the air cleaner that more than a little steam could have come from there.
I did the throttle body by pass, so there is no coolant passing thru there?
Thanks
