Default speedometer install

Hey. I have a 1985 and it has a built 350 in it and I am trying to convert to analog gauges. What would be the best way to install the speedo? Also, where would be best to splice into for the volt meter?

I got to looking at my Haynes manual and from the looks of it, I should just attach it to the VSS and then find a suitable ground. Am I right?

There is a little more to it than just that. The VSS must not only go to the speedo but through it to the ECM as well if your still running a OEM fuel injection application. Here a thread that touched on this issue which might help with what your doing:http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-g...-question.html Good luck with the project.

Ok. Well, the motor is carbed. It has no sensors going to the ECM. Basically, the ECM is not being used. I am making assumptions on the tranny being stock. Thank you for the link, it should help me a lot since he has the same situation. I don't know why it didn't show up in the searches I did.
