Code throw
I have a pretty highly modded 85 corvette. This problem was present before my recent cam and intake swap so I know those are culprits.
The car will drive fine then throw a code and have the dash light. It will sputter and run ****ty so i throw it in nuetral and restart the car. This clears the code and its fine again. It comes and goes. Might not happen for a month or 3 times on one drive.
Any ideas?

The code is stored until the ECM looses power. All it takes is a paper clip and the ability to count the flashing SES light.

will a scan tool still pick it up if the dash isnt telling me to check engine?
