Default need springs ??

I need new valve springs to run w/ comp 503 cam :533/int.540/exht.with 1.6rr I have unmodified LT-4 heads.I would like to have nice springs that want break the bank or require any modification to heads.asking because I trust the advise I read on this forum and I would like to order with confidence that I have the right stuff coming.I would also like to know if I could use retainers, locks,ect... from new LT-4 springs on any of these springs you may suggest.just wondering since I already have these springs laying around NIB and my budget is tight.thanks for your help.

LT4 springs are rated for .525 inch valve lift; same lift as an LT4 Hot Cam; I wouldn't recommend going to .533 inch with LT4 springs.

no not planning to use the springs.I was asking if I could use the locks, retainers,ect..with any of the other springs.mainly because I just wasnt sure and buget is always a factor.I know those springs are barely adequate for the hot cam. lol

comp cams will tell you what springs you need call them.. and 1.6 are needed to gain your power, but the stock flow of the heads will hold you back I hope you have headers.. If not wait until you get all your goodies together then install..so yes you can leave the heads on install cam lifter new pushrods i hope thats what you are doing old lifters and new cam not good idea..and rockers but that cam needs to flow..i think they are called bees or beehive the new stuff check out gmhitech lt1 build up or head comparison got it all there.. good luck

As long as the old lifters are in good shape there is nothing wrong with reusing them with the new camshaft.

hey guys sorry to just abandon the thread tied up with family issues ,anyway I ended up going with vs-2700 valve springs from bullet racing.they were recommended by Loyd Elliott as I went with one of his cams also.these springs can be used with stock retainers,locks,ect...and are good to over .600'' lift
