I just put on some KYB shocks last weekend(the front, not the back yet), and my car rose! It used to be lowered but its up now, is this normal? Will it go back to normal if I put the backs on? Sorry, I am a little tired and agitated at the moment. Thanks though!
Jedi....did you go and drive the car after you put them on?
if not...you do need to drive it to get them to settle....i put the KYB's on mine and had similar concerns only mine was much worst the tires actually looked cambered inward....(its the independent suspension on the rear).....well after i drove it and got it home...it all settled down to where it was orginally when i had the bilsteins on it.....the KYB's i feel are tough to beat for the bang for the buck.....and i really did not see much difference in ride height....i mean my car sits with a slight rake like every stock c-4 does......but nothing out of the norm....(see my pic to left)
If your old shocks had lost their gas charge, then new ones could raise the car. If the rear shocks lost the gas charge, new shocks will raise it up also.
If you ever put your car up on a jack, you will notice that when you lower it, it will sit a little higher until you drive the car. It should settle down some, unless there was something wrong w/ your old shocks.
