Well the pre cats and main cat on my car have been gutted, the car actually is not that loud at all, there is a noticable increase in interior resonace around 2500 rpms, but on the highway at 2,000 and 80mph the exhaust is barely louder than with just muffler eliminators. Also the car has notcably more pull from 3000-5000 rpms. There was a small loss of torque just enough you can barely notice, and I am adding a crossover pipe in the back Y here shortly so hopefully that will help remody the resonance I will keep you guys updated if there is interest

With that much torque (342), your posted hp rating (236) must be around 3620rpm. I've seen dynos of LT1s that DO drop off ~4000, but their HP continues to climb until ~5200.

first off, admiral blue? whatever that is, it's gorgeous. yes, cars without cats don't really sound THAT much louder than with it bottled up.
enjoy the ride..it's a sweet one!
Actually its Medium Quasar Blue, or was supposed to be I had the whole car repainted after the accident, and they were supposed to repaint it the original color, and my Mom moved the car the other day and didn't even notice that it was louder, so I am in the clear, she was REALLY pissed when I took the exhaust of of the 69 Camaro and it shook the house when I pulled up :jester
Horsepower and torque due meet at 5250, take a look at the graph more carefully, there are two different graphs on the sheet. The HP gragh is shifted up much higher on the paper but if you study the numbers you will see that they both read about 175 at 5250 RPM.

I bet mine sounds louder
well I left the pre cats and main cat housings on, so they are probably acting as resonators helping keep the noise down :jester
