Coolant Change Questions
I'm changing the coolant on my '86 L98 automatic(stock).
1) Where is the block drain on the passenger (right) side? I found the driver's side drain with no problem.
2) Only drained about 9 quarts of coolant so far (a bit over half drained based on what I've read). How much do folks typically get more out of the engine (without turning it upside down and shaking)?
3) Parts store sold me a 16 psi Stant cap. Removed cap is 17 psi and the FSM says 15 psi. What's correct?

To drain the other side,I believe you have to remove the knock sensor.
Not sure of the cap requirements.Usually the FSM is correct.If you cannot get the correct psi cap,dont see why the one from the store would hurt.Its a psi less than what you said was on the car already.
