I'm in the middle of changing the flywheel and have run into a problem. The directions call for Loctite #262. I have not been able to find this particular number anywhere. Has anyone used a different Loctite without any problems?
Any chain parts store should have that particular stuff. It's also called Loctite Red.
I agree with getting new flywheel bolts. Not a lot of money for a set. Summit Racing will have ARP flywheel bolts for around $10-$15 for a kit depeding on the particular size and application.
Don't forget to use a thread chaser on the crank to make sure the threads are in good shape and that any threadlocker from a previous install is gone.
