Default I need one solid lifter.....ASAP!

Anyone have a link to where I get one solid lifter, like overnight. I thought this cam degree kit I bought had one in it but I was wrong. If I can find a store this morning that can overnight one I may be able to get one by tomorrow (Fri 3rd) so I can finish up this cam install over the weekend. Help!!!!!!

Never mind, I'm just going to fill one of my old ones up with epoxy. Thanks Jim!

Mike,
Set up the lindicator so it rides on the edge of the lifter, not the center plunger. Be sure the dial indicator is in line with the vertical motion of the lifter, and not angled.
If you want to take your reading instead off the pushrod side of the rocker arm, install a weak checker spring in place of the valvespring.
The only possible reason for a solid lifter is to prevent the valve spring from working the lifter plunger and screwing up the reading.

Okay, thanks again Pete. I may try the weaker spring. That way I can leave the intake on. Is that just as accurate?

It will be. The checker spring is so weak, that it compresses before the lifter plunger does.
