Throttle cable lubricating?
My son drove my car last week and noticed the throttle was a little jerky when pressed. I guess I must have got used to it. It's not bad, but now that he mentioned it I can notice a little uneven pressure when pressed.(has a little creep to it) The throttle seems to be nice and free so I think one of the cables might be a little sticky. Haven't had the cover off the ASR unit, so I don't even know how the cables are routed through there. Is there a recommended procedure to clean & lube the cables or any products you guys recommend for it?

I use dry graphite when I can remove the cable from its shroud and spray white lithium grease when I cannot. YMMV and others will have their preferences too. I haven't had to lube a cable on a car in a while except the hood latch release. But I do this to my bike and it keeps the "choke", clutch, and throttle cables nice and smooth.
