explain manual valve body
I thought when it is in drive it's auto and anywhere else it just holds in that gear, from start to finish.
or is full auto while in 3rd it goes1 thru 3
and in 2nd it can go 1-2
and in a manual VB it starts in 3rd if the selector is in 3rd
and a full manual needs to be shifted contantly like a manual, ( and that to me defeats the purpose of having an auto.
so which is closest to a tiptronic behavior?
confused

:cra zy:

now how common is reverse valve body?
did I get all the variants?
or is there more?????
2. Auto with manual shift kit (I have that)
- it's like a manual trans but without the clutch
- where ever gear selector lever is, trans is allways in that gear
- TV system is still present to control line pressures
3. Auto with manual VB
- same as 2., but instead of making modifications to stock VB
you have completely new VB
- there is no more TV system, line pressure is at max. all the time
4. Reverse VB is only that, reverse. Instead of PRNODD21 you have PRN12DOD
What are benefits of manual VB, or manual shift kit? Well, for me biggest advantages are that you control when every single upshift or downshift will happen. And shifts are much firmer and instant when shift lever is moved. With normal auto, you allways have those delays.
