Default 91 L98 engine trouble

Hey guys my car has about 95,000 miles on it. It started running rough and if I mash the accelerator in any gear it bogs down and wont go past 4500 rpm if I am easy on it it'll go to redline but it sounds and feels rough. All the injectors feel like they are working. I'm thinking the timing or ignition are to blame. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Could be a plugged catalytic converter. Try loosening the 3 nuts on each collector and take for a test ride.

Could be many things but start with the simple stuff first, when did you last change your fuel filter, air filter, do a tune up??? Petes right, could be the converter, could also be a fuel delivery problem. Also don't rule out it being the injectors, they should first be checked to see if the internal coil is shorting out by checking them with an Ohm meter. If you don't have a Factory Service Manual this is one of the first things you should get, theres a section on trouble shooting that helps you eliminate possible problems one by one. You can usually get one used on ebay fairly cheap, and if your going to keep the car and work on it yourself its a must have item...WW

You'll need a fuel pressure gauge for this one......checking the fuel pressure and pressure bleed down times on the fuel rail are also a good place to start.

rent the autozone guage, its $100 but its loan a tool and a nice one.
hook it up and turn the key,if the fuel pressure looks lazy or it bleeds down the fuel is leaking into the cylinders-bad injectors.
If its just a high rpm miss then check for vac leaks and the fuel pressure regulator,if its leaking you should smell fuel.

Last put new ac delco plugs in and gap them right
