The radiator could be cracked internally. The auto trans is cooled by tanks on the side of the radiator. If its seperating its likely transmission fluid. I think if it was just a little Dexcool mixed in it would blend not seperate. :(
ok, the first time I noticed it was when I checked the bucket that I drained all the fluids in from the tubes going to the radiator. That would explain it. Thanks. I was a little worried there.
If the red fluid is oily & seperated from the green than it is trans fluid in the cooling system, which means there is probably coolant in the tranny  . Dexcool is more orange than red and it would mix. Unless you disconnected the tranny lines to the rad, you didn't say if you were just flushing the cooling system or actually removing the rad, than there would be no reason for trans fluid to be mixed in. Unless you maybe had some recent work done that would have left trans fluid under the rad mount tray and it got flushed into the bucket. DON"T drive it until you solve this. Good Luck.
Ok, here's the thing, I was informed by Black '90 Roadster that there is a transmition cooling section in the radiator. I drained all the fluid in the radiator into a bucket and noticed that there were two colors in the bucket and had no clue as to why this is. Dumping both parts of the radiator, transmittion and engine, into one bucket gave an intresting mix of colors. I did remove the radiator, The small metal tubes going into the radiator are for the tranny right? I checked one of them and that's where the red fluid is comming from. so everything should be ok, I was just unaware that the tranny used the radiator as well. Thanks for the input guys.
