Default tech help with a 91 coupe

I need some help here. I am new to the list, and new to the vette. I just bought a 91 6 speed. I dont know much about the car, but it has a few things that bother me. When I start the car, the air bag light will flash for a while, (longer than it should) then it will eventually go out. Also this car has the adjustable suspension, and the service suspension light is on. Could this be a major expense or was it designed to come on and be reset after X amount of miles? Any help anyone could give would really be apprieciated. I dont have a way to test the codes, and I wasnt sure if the 91 suspensions had a common failure with the system, that I could start with first. Also if anyone has comments on the airbag light that would be great. The car does not appear to have ever been wrecked...
While Im on the subject, the Bose radio squeels badly when you turn it on. It does not output any music, just squeeling. Is that a bad amp in the unit and if so how do I replace it? Sorry for the long post, just looking for some tips here....

Based on my experience with my 90 coupe:
1. As long as the airbag light goes off eventually you're okay.
2. The FXS suspension light = $$$ The adjustable shocks & adjusters are expsensive.
3. The Bose amps characteristically fail after a period of time. Three of four of mine are out now. From what I've learned it's typically a capacitor on the amplifier board that fails. I'm currently looking into places that specialize in repairing the amps, rather than replacing them.

If you want to read the codes stored in your computer just use a paper clip or a piece of wire to short terminal a and b together on the connector under the dash on the drivers side, right above your right knee probably. Pins a and b are the two on the top row all the way to the right side by side. Short the two terminals together and then turn the ignition on but do not start the car. The service engine soon light should flash once pause then twice, code 12. It will repeat this three times then it will give any fault codes you may have. One flash for a 1 , two flashes for a 2 and so on. As far as the bose radio they are junk. It is very common for them to not work. There are separate amp cards attached to each speaker.

yea, thanks for all the advice guys, I guess I am going to bite the bullit and have the suspension diagnosed. Another question, (as I wipe the presperation off my face....) the service engine soon light just came on....What could that mean? Is it time for an oil change, and if so, how do I reset or can I reset the light? I did some homework on these cars, but maybe not enough?
