Code 42 in my 88
I have a code 42 on my 88 vette and I have seen some threads on the cars with the opti but I don't think my car has one of these.Can you guys help me fix whats going on with this code 42?The car seems to run and drive fine.Is there something that causes this code the majority of the time?

Code 42 can be set if the EST timing bypass connector has been or is disconnected. It's a single tan wire with black stripe and the connector is usually beside brake booster(engine side). Check that first.
