C5 Wheels

Friend has C4 coupe & C5 vert w / stock factory 5-spoke wheels & tires. Wants to put C5 combo on the C4 & get new whls / tires for the C5

Will that work clearance wise, does he need spacers or anything, stock 17X8.5 & 18X9.5 & stock tire size on the C5

Year model of C4 you are asking about would help.
C5 wheels fit 88- 96 without spacers.
84 -87 require 3/4" spacer to sit in right position otherwise they are too far in under the guards

Will work fine.I have had them on my car and am switching back to them.I do switch the fronts to stock size(255/45/17).I don't like the lower ride height on the C5 fronts(245/45/17).My car has been lowered.It may not be an issue on a stock height car.

I have a 96, with the tire and wheel sizes you said, and they fit fine, no problems whatsoever and spacers were not needed!!!

I have a 1988 c4 with the same wheel set up.. running 245/45r17 Fronts and 255/40r18 Rears.. correct tire size set up for the rear is 275/40r18......
